‘Young Lady in a Boat’ Print – Framed – James Tissot – 30″ x 36″

This item is a framed print based on the original ‘Young Lady in a Boat’ (also known as ‘Young Woman in a Boat’, or ‘Reflections’) by French artist James Tissot in 1870. It depicts a pensive Victorian woman lounging in a small boat while wearing a ruffled white muslin dress and a striped hat, accompanied by a small pug and a bouquet of wildflowers. The famous artwork showcases Tissot’s meticulous attention to high-fashion and leisurely subjects, which was characteristic of his work before leaving for London following the outbreak of the Franco-Prussian War.  The approximate measurements for this item, including the frame, are 30″ H x 36″ W.

CONDITION: Item is used / pre-owned. There is significant scuffing and scratches on the frame due to age and previous display. Additionally, the paper on the back of the frame is torn. Please review photos carefully. Item is as-is, as-found.
